As I explained, earlier I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE white in winter...when it's done right of course.
I came across two great examples of why white is so great in winter from Sienna Miller and Sarah Michelle Gellar (you'll also notice in Sarah's pic that her black tights and shoes are being drowned by the stupid black carpet. SMH.)
It's important to break down white with black accessories (tights, belts, shoes, etc.) to make it pop and to avoid looking washed out. I'm sure you've heard it before: accessories can make or break an ensemble. But it's incredibly true in this case because white is so severe.
Also, with white in winter you can play with textures (cotton, wool, etc.) appropriately. I really shouldn't see anyone in white linen after August or before April, you what I'm saying?
