Prime Example: Alicia Keys

Earlier this week, I got into winter white and a bit ago I wrote about fall outerwear. Here Alicia Keys give a prime example of both! This piece of outerwear she has on is PHENOMENAL! It's different, it stands out and makes it mark. But better yet it's memorable (as Micheal Kors would say per Project Runway). Blogs and magazines gave her ensemble mixed reviews but as far as I'm concerned, it's an A.

I did some looking around to see if I could find some pieces similar to what she had on but at the same time affordable. (I don't know who the piece is by but I'm pretty sure it's not in my budget.) Cue Urban Outfitters, who has some great stuff in their holiday collection, especially outerwear.

First we have the Kimchi Blue Kilim Poncho. It's $128, which is reasonable for how many times you're going to wear it and the print on it is awesome. The shape of the poncho is absolutely stunning. It just does it for me...

This is uber-fabulous. The color of this Rendez-Vous by Paul and Joe Sister Tzigane coat is great, the structure is impeccable and it's simply outerwear at its best. Sure it's a bit shy of $300, (priced at $268) but this is a piece you're going to have for years. I'm usually not a fan of red, but here's where I make an exception.
