VIDEO: Kanye West - "Welcome to Heartbreak"

KANYE WEST "Welcome To Heartbreak" Directed by Nabil from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

As I've said before I absolutely LOVE Kanye West's album, 808's & Heartbreak. I believe it's ABSOLUTELY genius and it's easily in one of my top five favorite albums. I was checking out his blog and he posted the video for his song, "Welcome to Heartbreak". It's not the next single ("Amazing" featuring Young Jeezy is) off the album but this is a pretty innovative video.

Enjoy.

FAVE: Michelle Obama Vogue Cover

LOVES IT!!!! The cover of Vogue?! Seriously, the woman is on Jackie O. status...Michelle O. I haven't gotten it yet but I'm pretty sure this issue has already hit newsstands. Trust me...I'm on it!

I know I'm like a couple of months late but above are the sketches from various designers - Diane Von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Monique Lhuillier - who were all in the running of designing Michelle's inauguration dress.

FAVE: Marc by Marc Jacobs Kaleigh Silk Jacquard Dress

I love, LOVE, LOVE this dress. I just joined GILT.com and discovered it. Of course it's sold out. I looked in my closet today and realized I don't have a lot of winter friendly dresses. This would have been a perfect addition.

*sigh*

FAVE: Marc by Marc Jacobs Mouse flats

I absolutely adore these things. Which is funny because I'm not really a flats kind of girl. Maybe it has to do with them being Marc Jacobs.

Maybe.

I discovered these ubercute Marc by Marc Jacobs mouse flats at Piperlime for $250. Interesting. I just saw them at Blommingdale's on Black Friday for a cool $165. Hmmm...

But to be honest, the fashionista at Nitrolicious not only put me on them, but has them as well.

What do we think? Cute or overrated?

Either way I'm finding some way to get them...

FAVE: Fall/Winter Outerwear

Okay, so after rummaging through my email since I hadn't checked it for a week, my daily UO emails made me realize that yes, I'll be needing a jacket...then a coat soon. I absolutely love outerwear! Maybe, it's because I'm an up north girl...anyways I was checking out, you guessed it, Urban Outfitters and discovered they had some cute outerwear options. Urban Outfitters outerwear options...try saying that four times fast.

I love this! You can find the Ombre Plaid Coat for $98 exclusively online by Urban Outfitters. Plaid is huge for the fall season and I love that the sleeves are 3/4 lenghts. It's perfect for Atlanta weather because it doesn't get too cold until December/January.

There's nothing like a good bomber jacket. The Silence & Noise Hooded Bomber Jacket is absolutely flawless. I feel like this is an essential item to have in your closet for the fall and thanks to Urban Outfitters it can be yours for $128.

I'm a sucker for a peacoat (and it doesn't hurt if it comes from UO) and I'm a sucker for the BDG Double Breasted Plaid Peacoat. It's cute, fits true to size (which I heart...) and it's only $138.

Last on my Urban Outfitters outerwear search is the Charlotte Ronson Check Coat. Absolutely fabulous! Now, sure it's $475 but it's an investment...you can get a lot of wears out of the coat. Take the price of coat (or any item) and divide it by the number of years you'll wear it and you'll see if buying something is worth it. In this case, it is.

Just a little fashion faves to start the day with.

You're welcome.

FAVE: 7 For All Mankind Canberra Large Tote

So, with fall rapidly arriving and the fiance's birthday in a couple weeks I took a trip to Lenox Mall yesterday on my day off. Usually I try to avoid going there because there's a lot going on but per usual they have everything and anything else other malls in Atlanta don't.

It had honestly been a couple of months since I had been there and I noticed a few new things and stores. There was the Michael Kors store which was new, shiny and beautiful and I swear I wanted everything in there. Victoria's Secret is in the process of building their new katrillion dollar store and the temp location is where the old Polo store used to be.

And to my lovely surprise, there was also the new 7 For All Mankind store. It was gorgeous. I love denim so you can imagine that I was in heaven. But I wasn't even concerned with denim once I entered the store. Their accessories (particularly handbags) were not only impressive but amazing. I had officially died and gone to purse heaven when I came across the Canberra Large Tote. Now, for $695 you can have a piece of leather ecstasy as I'd like to call it. I definitely NEED this in my life. Pronto.

Just in case you need proof that 7 For All Mankind handbags are the truth...here you go.

FAVE: Aveda Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss

I absolutely love this stuff!

My hair is usually dry and so my stylist told me to try Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss by Aveda. It's light and making your shiny and seriously it's the greatest thing I've discovered for my hair! I'm in the process of growing it out so it's almost in this awkward mullet shape so the least I can do is keep it healthy and shiny. You can find Brilliant at any Aveda store or salon for $24.50.

I love it!

FAVE: Free People Lambswool Fringe Jacket

I think I might have found the perfect jacket for fall. Because I'm little, I usually like my jackets (trenches or coats) to be more fitted so it doesn't look like it's overbearing and swallowing my body. Good ole Urban Outfitters has come through again with this one. Free People's Lambswool Fringe Jacket is everything that I want and need.

At $168, it can be yours too! Seriously, though...how cute is this?

The Art of David Patterson

So last week sometime, the Boyfriend and I went to Atlantic Station to get out of the house. Aside from checking out the new H&M (which I heart) and the movies, we strolled by some street vendors that were out that weekend. As I strolled by, I came across David Patterson and his innovative art. I've honestly never really seen anyone else do this before. (Apparently, as an art student this is something that they are taught to do.) He's been doing it for a while now and he had so many pictures. They were all so beautiful...fantasy like visions of black art. What's cool about Patterson's art is he uses a pen and creates textures with different little lines and squiggles (as I like to call them). I'm not even an art buff but I seriously wanted to purchase every picture he had in the biggest size possible. Realizing that I had no where to put them in the apartment, I politely purchased the above picture (which is called "Surprise") in a convenient 8X10 size. However, once I do get my bigger place I plan on getting more of Patterson's pieces.

Add him my on myspace and show him some love.

FAVE: Disney Couture Mickey and Minnie Kissing tee

The fabulous being that is the Best Friend has really been digging Disney Couture lately – the jewelry and she even had me look for this shirt for her. Absolutely adorable. You can actually find it at Delia’s. Kidada Jones (daughter of Quincy Jones) is the mastermind behind Disney Couture.

“The line is every little (and big) girl's dream come true. This line has captured the hearts of Hollywood stars like Nicole Richie, who love the whimsy of these fairytale pieces.”

Pieces from the line including tees and jewelry range from $25 to $150+ featuring Mickey, Tinkerbell and more of your Disney favorites. The more I see from this line, the more I like. I’ve known of it for a while, but I’m just now paying attention. I guess it took Mickey kissing Minnie…seriously the cutest ever.

FAVE: Urban Outfitters "Progress" and "Obama for yo mama" T-Shirts

In honor of Obama whooping Hilary's butt (she knows she needs to go ahead and drop out) I saw this and had to share. There is a number of shirts that represent the support of Barack but this is one of the best ones. However, the "Obama for Yo Mama" wins my vote for the best Obama t-shirt EVER!!! You can find both of these at Urban Outfitters, a store that's ranking higher and higher each day in my book.
